Under the guidance of smart city theory, this paper discusses the penetration of smart city concept in residential building design. The first part introduces the theories related to smart city; the second part analyzes the influence of smart city concept on residential design; the third part discusses the application of smart city theory in residential building design; and the fourth part analyzes the penetration path of smart city concept through cases. It aims to provide some valuable reference for the architectural design and construction of smart city and smart community.
