The thesis has studied the traditional congestion relief management method of motorways, analyzed the shortcomings of manual and automated methods, and proposed the application of intelligent transportation platform in motorway congestion relief. Through dynamic monitoring of motorway road conditions and traffic flow, traffic operation characteristics mining, congestion process simulation, traffic time and space resource imbalance diagnosis and resource intelligent control, etc., it achieves the efficient and balanced use of spatial and temporal resources of motorway traffic, and effectively alleviates the congestion problem of motorway.
