This study analyzes the application of informatization and digitization technologies in water conservancy projects and their improvement of water conservancy construction efficiency. Based on the method of literature review, the application of Geographic Information System (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data are thoroughly studied. Based on case analysis, it is found that informatization and digitization technologies demonstrate significant potential and value in enhancing resource management, scheduling efficiency, and cost control efficiency in water conservancy projects. Therefore, it is evident that informatization and digitization play a crucial role in improving the efficiency of water conservancy construction. With the further development and application of these technologies, water conservancy construction will be more efficient, economical and reliable.
