With the acceleration of urbanization, the demand for efficient, green and sustainable buildings is growing. As a new building method, prefabricated building can meet these needs. However, the traditional construction method has some problems in prefabricated buildings, such as inaccurate matching of components and difficult coordination of construction process. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce BIM technology to improve the efficiency and quality of prefabricated building construction. This paper first introduces the characteristics of BIM technology, the introduction of prefabricated buildings and their application value, and then further analyzes the application of BIM technology from the preliminary preparation stage, construction design stage, production stage and construction site stage, so as to promote the development of prefabricated buildings and provide references for research and practice in related fields.
