Firstly, this paper introduces the connotation and advantages of BIM technology, analyzes the application status of BIM technology in the design of building engineering supply and drainage in China, and expounds it from three aspects: technical personnel, involved risks and related mechanisms. Finally, combined with the case study of building water supply and drainage engineering, engineers and technicians summarizes the specific application of BIM technology in building water supply and drainage design, hoping to provide reference for related researchers to study the application of BIM technology in building water supply and drainage design in the future.
