The safety of tower crane operation has always been one of the issues that are highly valued at the construction site. Through the statistical analysis of 248 tower crane safety accidents, the types of accidents are divided. At the same time, by applying the Surry Model to the safety management of tower cranes, it is concluded that the cause of tower crane safety accidents is the unsafe state of tower crane equipment, environment and operators. On this basis, it is proposed to use the new Internet of things technology to monitor all kinds of unsafe conditions in the process of tower crane operation in real time, so as to prevent the occurrence of tower crane safety accidents.
