The main purpose of this paper is to solve the inconvenience of the multi-crowd dormitory living environment, and express the comfortable and convenient functions in a small space. With the help of questionnaire survey method to listen to the problems existing in the daily life of users, through the investigation of the living conditions of 122 various types of dormitory occupants, it is found that the current user's life can be improved. Then, it is targeted to optimize the dormitory model room, explains the use of smart equipment in the dormitory through the design of the dormitory intelligent control APP, and innovates the application of smart home in the design process. It is hoped that the future dormitory design will no longer be a simple table and chair placement, but can closely follow the development status of the era of 5G technology, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, so as to better coordinate the adaptability of people and the environment, and makes the user's living more comfortable.
