Digital twins have been widely developed around the world in recent years. This article focuses on the digital twin technology, first puts forward the background of the emergence of the digital twin, and proposes that the current BIM technology is the digital twin of the engineering planning, design, and construction phases. Then it introduces the application status of BIM technology in the field of infrastructure. It also introduces the application method of combining BIM technology and digital twin in the operation and maintenance stage. Finally, it summarizes the digital twin method of data center's full life cycle and looks forward to the development direction of digital twin technology.
