This paper focuses on the design trends of future hospitals in the context of smart cities. Against the background of rising urbanization and aging rates
as well as increasing imbalance between supply and demand of medical resources
hospitals are shifting from "centers for disease treatment" to "ecological hubs for urban health." The design of future hospitals presents three major trends: The first is spatial reconfiguration
which adopts modular design to create human-centered scenario-based spaces; Second
it is necessary to balance sustainability and humanistic care
reduce energy consumption
enhance spatial comfort
and integrate cultural significance; And the third is driving innovation by new technologies. At the same time
the implementation of hospital design faces technical and policy challenges
necessitating measures such as establishing unified standards and strengthening inter-departmental collaboration.
