Research on Performance-based Fire Protection Design of a Convention and Exhibition Center
In the daily design of exhibition buildings, we often encounter problems such as excessive area of fire division and excessive safety evacuation distance.The purpose of this paper is to adopt the performance-based design method, adopt the fire simulation software (FDS) to set the fire simulation scene, use the professional evacuation software (Pathfinder) to simulate the evacuation scene and calculate the evacuation time. Under the protection of the set fire protection facilities, it is necessary to ensure the available safety evacuation time (ASET) > the required safety evacuation time (RSET). Aiming at the situation that the evacuation distance exceeds the standard, the reasonable smoke control scheme and evacuation design scheme satisfying both the function and evacuation safety are presented. Aiming at the fire control difficulties in the personnel evacuation design of the convention and exhibition center, this paper carried out relevant research, the main work includes: overall fire system design and analysis, smoke control scheme design, and evacuation scheme design.
